Betty Ruth Youngblood Cushman



A Celebration of Life service for Betty Ruth Youngblood Cushman, 84, of Windsor, SC will be held three p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. Dewayne Anderson and Jeremy Creech officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Betty passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018. The family has requested that donations be given in Betty’s memory in lieu of flowers to Folk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367 , Williston, SC 29853.

Born in Aiken County, SC she was a daughter of the late Cecil Youngblood and Inez Turner Youngblood and was married to the late Leon Hampton “Bubba” Cushman for 63 years. Betty was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife and Bigma that enjoyed life, bingo and found humor in everything. Bigma was the most genuine kindest person who always spoke the truth and everyone she met got a hug and a kiss.
Survivors include her daughters Cindy C. Sizemore of Aiken and Pam Cushman Bolen of Windsor; a sister Phyllis (Jim) Crow of Aiken; grandchildren Ciji (Ryan) Bell, Missy Bolen Jeffers, Kelsie Bolen, Stephanie Sizemore, Kerri Sizemore and Abbie Sizemore and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Missy Bolen Jeffers; a sister Kathleen Y. Allen; a brother, Donald Ray “Doc” Youngblood, Sr. and a son-in-law Steve Sizemore.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Agape nurses for the care shown to their family and a special thank you to Phyllis and Jim Crow who she dearly loved.
