We will work with you to create a personalized memorial display that speaks to the life your loved one lived and enjoyed. For example, if the person was an avid fly fisherman, we might create a table arrangement using some of their fishing equipment, photos from fishing trips, maybe even a mounted trophy fish. If your loved one enjoyed quilting and fabric crafts, we might use actual examples of her work and bring in her sewing machine to use as part of the display, or choose to have her casket draped with one of her creations. There are so many unique opportunities for personalization; please feel free to discuss your thoughts and ideas with us.

Small take-away remembrances can provide funeral participants with a lasting souvenir of the ceremony, and serve as a personal reminder of the deceased loved one. If the person was a fisherman, you might consider printing remembrance cards using a fishing theme, and ornament the card with a small fishing lure attached. For the person who loved quilting, you might use small, pre-cut quilt squares as the background to attach an inspirational quote or photo of the deceased.

Folk Funeral Home has an extensive library of recorded music for you to choose from as part of the funeral service or following reception. In addition, we can provide live musicians based on the type of music your loved one enjoyed. For instance, the family of a person who enjoyed bluegrass music chose to have the soft sounds of a hammered dulcimer playing during the funeral service, instead of the more traditional organ music.
