Graveside funeral service for Ponce DeLeon Owens, 80, of Williston, SC will be held three o’clock p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Williston Cemetery with the Reverend Floyd Dukes officiating. The family will receive friends from two o’clock until two-forty five p.m. on Thursday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Ponce passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
Born in Aiken County, SC, he was the son of the late Leon Harrison Owens and Velva Wilson Owens. He retired from AT & T as a supervisor.
Survivors include his wife Almeta Green Owens of the home; daughter LeAnne (David) Scott of Jefferson, GA, Linda Darlene (Phalen) Dyches of Waynesboro, GA; sons Gregory (Penny) Owens, Karl (Ann) Owens all of Lyon, GA, John Harvey (Tammy) Thompson of Glennville, GA, Cecil Allen (Vicky) Thompson of Windsor, SC; sisters, Verna Owens Tisdale of Fort Collins, Colorado, Claudia Owens Stout of West Columbia, SC, June Owens Baylor of St. Mary’s, GA, Harriette Owens (Charles) Thomas of Lexington, SC and Eula Owens (Pat) Hightower of West Columbia, SC; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Remember Ponce with love and affection. Remember our senior year, our trip to New York, but most fondly remember these last years at our annual reunions. He always laughed at my stories, but bringing his sweet wife into our lives was the best. Praying for the comfort of his family. God bless you all.
