John Colie "Buckshot" Bell



Funeral services for John Colie “Buckshot” Bell, 42, formerly of Williston will be held two p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with burial at the Williston Cemetery with U.S. Marines Military Honors Accorded. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. “Buckshot” passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

Born in Aiken County he was a son of Rebecca Keel Pender and the late John Edwin “Bubba” Bell. “Buckshot” served in the U.S. Marines, where he received a National Defense Medal, Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge and was awarded numerous additional medals, badges and ribbons; he loved serving his country and he loved the Marines.
Survivors include his wife Amanda “Mandy” Jones Bell of the home; mother and step-father Becky and Steen Pender of Barnwell; step-daughters Kathryn Willis and Allyson Hall-Jones of Columbia; step-son Nicholas Amick of Columbia; step-sisters Mindy P. (Mark) Steedley of North Augusta, Kristie P. McCloskey of Simpsonville; step-niece Shaye McCloskey, step-nephew Ian McCloskey, aunts Joan Bell (Richard) McKinney of Augusta, Ga., Alta (Reed) Swann of Barnwell; uncles Richard (Michelle) Keel of Columbia, Joe (Sherry) Keel of Augusta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his father Bubba Bell; his sister Jennifer Grace Bell; his grandparents James and Eleanor Keel and Johnny Bell.
